It had always been there, brimming beneath the surface, and it wasn't until I founded and led The Disposable Project that I realized marketing was the way to take my passion for art and business and turn it into a career. Since then, one could say that I've been eating, breathing, and dreaming marketing in some form or another.

Youth Development/Asset Building Associate

  • Performed participatory-style needs assessments in collaboration with local counterparts and associations; Aligned partnerships and secured over $3,400 for a 3-day youth-focused photography workshop

  • Solicited funds from departments at Loyola Marymount University to initiate a youth-focused photography education program in Moshi; Cataloged and curated over 2,700 photographs from 100 disposable (single-use) cameras
  • Planned intensive and timely advertising support for our crowdfunding campaign, successfully generating over $5,500
  • Built an in-house content production team of 2 videographers and 2 graphic designers Conceptualized and directed the development of both on- and offline marketing and branding content
  • Conceived and implemented a premier photography exhibition and fundraiser in Los Angeles, successfully raising over $1,500; Coordinated all logistics and forged strategic partnerships with several organizations to garner sponsorships
